The Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics & Electronics (PrimeAsia) is a new initiative of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society for engaging students. It aims to provide opportunities for postgraduate students to present their research works and to interact with people in the research community and industry. Although all the papers at PrimeAsia 2009 will be presented by postgraduate students, experienced people from academia and industry are warmly invited to attend, in order to create a stimulating environment for favoring exchange of knowledge and mentoring of young researchers. In addition to the conference program, tutorials on emerging technologies will be conducted by internationally renowned experts; some sessions will be dedicated to companies, enabling students to get in touch with companies and other institutions. PrimeAsia covers a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, the followings:

• Analog Signal Processing
• Biomedical Circuits and Systems
• Blind Signal Processing
• Circuits and Systems for Communications
• Computer-Aided Design
• Digital Signal Processing
